The Prestige is the third act of any magic trick, and it is the hardest part



whose main propose is to earn the audience's claps. It followes the first



part, the pledge, and the second part, the turn. The prestige is also



the movie I saw this week, it's directed by Christopher Nolan. The story



is about the competition between two magicians for ideas , their revenge



in life, and their sarcifice for their obsession. Their attempts to beat



out each other make them lose everything except the obsession of the



clap of audience. The final mystery machine for transported man reminds



me of the many-worlds interpretation in quantum mechanics. You have to



kill another you to let the world work, both of you are true, but only



one can live. By the way, the way the story plays out is also like a big



magic trick. The only thing audience can do is waiting and see how



the story unfold, which just like what the old engineer said in the



movie, "you are looking for the secret, but you can't find, because



you are not really looking, you don't really want to know. You just



want to be fooled."
